I felt a bit like Father Christmas doing my rounds today – a pair of curtains here, a bit of restored furniture there and, finally, a whole heap of goodies for Barcaldine Castle. Having “done” the Lairds Parlour last year, I was really pleased to be asked back to “perk up” a couple of the bedrooms. They are such gorgeous castley rooms, and guests lucky enough to stay here are pampered with all kinds of lovely goodies – both tasty and smelly!
